乳腺外科医とっての超音波検査

乳腺超音波は乳腺診療上基本となる検査である。主な役割として、スクリーニング検査としての役割、質的診断としての役割、確定診断のための穿刺をガイドする役割、そして乳癌外科治療を補助する役割が挙げられる。特に質的診断にあたっては、乳腺腫瘍の病理学的特徴を理解した上で、病型や組織型を推定しながら検査していく必要がある。
Ultrasonography in the area of breast oncology has four roles.Firstly, breast ultrasonography is used for screening for breast cancer.However, the significance of ultrasonography applying for mass screening has not been determined. Secondly, breast ultrasonography provides information in the diagnosis for breast lesions. Doppler US,elastography and contrast enhanced ultrasonography have been introduced for this purpose. Thirdly, breast ultrasonography is used for obtaining cytological or pathological materials. New devices for obtaining breast tissues have been introduced one after another. Lastly,breast ultrasonography is sometimes used for surgical treatment.
