わが国における、超音波診療の最新動向は肝臓領域でのエラストグラフィが2016年より保険収載される予定であるこ
とである。また世界各国では携帯型超音波装置が臨床に使用され特に救急医療などにおいて活躍している。特に米国で
の保険診療で画像診断としてのMRIやCT検査の制限なども影響しているものと思われる。超音波診断は低侵襲検査法
として今後種々の分野で臨床応用が期待される。
The latest topic on diagnostic ultrasound in Japan is that the use of elastography for liver imaging is to
be approved in 2016. Portable ultrasound units are routinely used in the clinical setting around the
world, especially in prehospital environment. The increase in use of ultrasound may be associated with the
limitation of insurance coverage for other imaging modalities, such as MRI and CT, in the United States. In
any case, diagnostic ultrasound is expected to be utilized more in various clinical settings as a noninvasive
diagnostic tool.
