心エコー検査の進歩と今後の可能性

心エコーは、四半世紀以上に渡って循環器診療で用いられてきたが、今後も機能的、技術的な進歩が続けられる
だろう。また、非侵襲的、情報が多く、即時性が高い心エコーが求められる場面は、ますます増えていっている。今
後も、臨床の現場にとって、最も身近で有用な画像診断としての発展を期待したい。
Echocardiography has been used as a clinical imaging modality for more than a quarter of a century,
and recent progresses of cardiovascular medicine encourage further development of the technology.
The indication of echocardiography has extended to many fields; first-aid, surgery, and general internal
medicine, because echocardiography is non-invasive, has a large volume of information, and helps
quick decisions. We hope that echocardiography would progress more as the most familiar and useful
cardiovascular imaging in the clinical setting.
