TargetXLコイル開発の歴史と現状

近年、末梢領域でも離脱式コイルの使用が広がっている。様々な離脱式コイルが使用可能であるが、その中で
TargetXL/XXLコイルは末梢血管をターゲットに開発されたコイルである。コイルの性能はコイル自体の特性の
みならず、デリバリーワイヤーやジャンクション構造にも依存する。これらの点でTargetコイルのシステムは洗練
されている。本稿ではTargetコイルの歴史と特徴を紹介した後に実際の症例を提示する。
Recently, the opportunity to use detachable coils are increasing in peripheral intervention. Various
kinds of detachable coils are available in Japan. Among them, Target coil series are very sophisticated.
Target XLmini, XL, and XXL can cover any situations, including embolization of small vessels, large
vessels, aneurysms, and tortuous arteries.
In this paper, we introduce the history, characteristics, and clinical cases of Target coils.
