画像診断：MRIの役割

認知症性疾患の診断にMRIは有用な画像検査である。しかしながら、認知症をきたしうる病態は神経変性疾患に加え、脳血管障害、腫瘍など多彩であり、その診断には適切な撮像法の選択や系統的な画像診断が要求される。本稿では認知症の診断におけるMRIの役割や撮像法のポイント、代表的な疾患の画像所見を中心に解説していく。
In the modern medicine, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is one of the useful methods to diagnose demented patients. In order to diagnose various kinds of disorders including neurodegenerative diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, neoplasms, metabolic diseases and infectious diseases which can cause dementia, it is necessary to perform the adequate MRI examinations and diagnosis methods. In this article, authors explain the basis of MRI techniques and characteristic MRI findings of the representative cases for the educational purpose.
